Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ImageConvert handles personal information and uploaded files. We designed the service so routine image format conversion can happen directly in your browser wherever possible, and we limit server processing to workflows that require strict output control such as size-target compression.

1. Data Controller and Contact

The data controller for this website is ImageConvert. For privacy questions, data-access requests, deletion requests, or legal notices, contact us through the support channel published on this website.

2. What Data We Collect

We may collect account data (such as email address and authentication provider), usage data (such as event tracking and tool interactions), and operational security signals needed to protect the service from abuse. We do not sell personal data.

3. Browser-Side Processing by Default

Standard format conversion tools are designed to process images in-browser when technically feasible. In those flows, files are converted on your device and are not uploaded to our server as part of the normal conversion operation.

4. Server-Side Compression Workflows

Compression routes that target strict size limits (for example 100KB or 200KB workflows) may require server-side processing to reliably achieve deterministic output. In these cases, uploaded files are processed temporarily and used only to complete the requested compression task.

5. File Retention and Deletion Policy

Temporary processing files are not intended for long-term storage. Files are deleted after processing as part of normal cleanup routines, and operational logs are retained only for the minimum period needed for security, fraud prevention, and service reliability. You can request deletion of your account-related personal data where legally applicable.

6. Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more lawful bases: contract performance (to provide the service), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and reliability), consent (for optional analytics or marketing where required), and legal obligations.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. We respond to verified requests within applicable legal timelines.

8. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party infrastructure and analytics providers for hosting, database services, authentication, and aggregate measurement. Those providers act under their own policies and contractual controls.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical, or product changes. Material updates are published on this page with a revised date.
